No Underwear Sightings in 'Magic Mike' Trailer Is One Cruel Trick

To say we’ve been waiting with bated breath for the ‘Magic Mike’ trailer (the Steven Soderbergh directed male strip flick starring Channing Tatum, Alex Pettyfer, Matthew McConaughey, Joe Mangianello, and Matt Bomer) to come out is quite an understatement. So many other things we can think of have been bated as well. So you can imagine our thrill with its release this week, but perhaps not the unimaginable disappointment to follow. Instead of a glistening tease of sweaty mens beaming upon the stages of the Sunshine State’s most fiery male strip clubs, what we have instead is a guy with a naggy potential girlfriend and a meditation on custom-designed furniture. Not to mention, Channing Tatum once again proves a graduate of the Tina Yothers School of Dramatic Arts. But maybe most devastating is the fact that there are little to no underwear or thong sightings anywhere in this trailer. It’s almost as if someone waved their wand and made them all disappear.
