Not sure why people are bothering to post about terminology; it has been brought up many times and it is clear that the site owner doesn’t read the comments and/or can’t be bothered to learn.

Another reiteration of what others have said.
In the UK, Boxer-Briefs technically dont exist. They do but theyre called trunks or hipsters.
Most lads who wear trunks, boxers, boxer-briefs, hipsters etc will just say they wear boxers because they most closely resemble boxers.
On the opposite end, when Bieber was asked in concert what he wore he said “Briefs” but he actually meant boxer-briefs. Its just a simple case of where your from and what stuff is sold or advertised as. In the UK boxer-briefs isnt a term that is ever used in sale or advertising, and if anyone said they wore briefs, most people would assume you were wearing y-front type pants.

Seriously, it’s been said many times before. In the UK we call “boxer-briefs” boxers. I wear what you call “boxer-briefs” but I call them boxers. Practically all my friends wear “boxer-briefs” but call them boxers. It’s just like how you call football soccer, GET OVER IT.
Just want to endorse what Jas has said. Almost all British lads say “boxers” when they mean anything other than briefs — and when they mean briefs they most likely will say “pants”. It’s just how it is here in the UK. So when asked the question most boys will say “boxers” but be wearing boxer-briefs — or what are usually called “trunks” over here. Confusing?
I think everyone keeps forgetting the a lot of the British guys call boxer briefs just boxers. I think it’s safe to say that all of 1D wears what we Americans call Boxer briefs.
All his other One Direction bandmate prefer boxers over everything else, too, but it’s nice to see Zayn in boxer briefs.
